I was just reading on Japan Today's website and found this... how interesting!

Also, for those visiting, there is a sumo tournement from September 9-23. If you have time and are interested, you can go to the Kokugikan at Ryogoku station in Tokyo and purchase tickets. If you are comfortable with reading some Japanese, then you can purchase them from a convenience store (Family Mart is my recommendation). Cheap tickets are 3600 yen for the full day.

Also in that area, is the Edo Museum and I hear it's really good, and there is a map at the station marking out a lot of interesting places to see in the area.
