what i learned was that it is people like you who dispense mean spirited condescending smart a** answers that make me glad to not have a teacher like you to give me their "truth". and i'm not your apprentice. show some respect and maybe you get some.

Why start another thread that already exists? Because I did not know it existed.

Thanks for the direction to the previously discussed topic though. Oh, and thanks for another compassionate and good hearted response to a young person just wanting to find the truth.

Not to cause a big controversy, but, experienced people, what is your take on this article? (particularly the first paragraph). True? False? Who cares?

There is a significant difference between teaching some elements of taijutsu applicable to the specific needs of law enforcement, and teaching them our martial art.

Good. That sounds (a little) better than what I previously understood.

If one is going to learn Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu Shouldn't one belong to and train in the Bujinkan, rather than just being a "law enforcement" officer? How is this a qualification to learn Ninpo and such?

Where did the different color belt ranking system come from that is commonly seen in a lot of martial arts, including the Bujinkan?

How were people ranked in Japanese martial arts, including Ninpo/Ninjutsu, before this colored belt system was invented?

Thanks.

I'm not sure if I am the only one who feels this way... but I really don't like it when newer students pay less for training...

you show loyalty to your instructor, and again I don't know if its just me ...but I can forsee that being a problem there. if anything newer ppl should have to commit more to earn there place. However, that is often not the case as new ppl are new ppl...lol

2 cents...but also think of the masks that this ppl will show up with....

Hey! What's wrong with masks??!!
