I've noticed a lot of the flak stems from the 'lunge punch' or more so the freeze frame moment most uke adopt, after the strke.
This gets picked on a lot especially with you tube, most notable 'what is bujinkan b. T. The directors cut.'

exactly! why would anyone want to work things out for themselves, when skh (for a modest fee) will gladly tranlate the 'kuden' filtering out the red herrings and do the taijutsu spotting for you.(rhetorical question, hence no ?)

all done in step by step video, whilst wearing his funky romulan style jacket.

give that man a coconut!!

elaborate 'lure' is probably what i meant anyway, thanks for the nod.

it isn't scamming persay but it is definatly a bit deceptive. i wonder if you stated that you wanted to walk less than two minutes to hombu, whether the guest house across the street would get a mention?

as mentioned though, the site is brand new and probably not complete as yet.

you would like to think so by the 'front' of the whole thing, but i still think its an elaborate scam to make money off accomadation in noda.

the section about accom. gave the game away. 'how many minutes do you want to walk to hombu?'

how long does it take to walk from kashiwa anyway?

i'm pretty sure i counted a bit more than five japanese shihan, when i visited?

maybe i counted some twice, or perhaps space is collapsing and people are dissapearing like in startrek tng.

soke's main uke, ******** sensei holds regular classes at hombu also, perhaps he declined to be involved?

one could be fooled into thinking it was soke's website at first glance, i was.

nice looking site though,

really? did you read duncanm's initial paragraph?

dan grades don't come cheap, but niether does a couple of trips a year to japan, which is what most shidoshi will be doing.

they teach us for years often at a loss, i think it's only fair they get a 'kickback' now and again.

if the knive was selling for $50 who here would buy one?

everybody right?

i think they are bumping up the price because they assume goverment organisations will be daft enough to pay it. i wouldn't be surprised if someone does a knock off version and makes it more affordable. or even if the very same company starts making a 'basic' version to hit a bigger market.

with this line of reasoning;

$20 knive sold 500 times for $500=$250,000
same $20 knive in different colour and cheaper box sold 100,000 times for$50=$5,000,000
