There is nothing in the guidelines that addresses the use prescribed medicine, only abuse of a substance, legal or otherwise. So, if your not getting into trouble because of said substance and are not breaking any laws, there is no problem.

Training while under the influence is another issue altogether and IMO not a good idea even if it is prescribed.

Garth, why should Don arm you with actual knowledge of the subject matter? I am sure he has no intention of arming you with anything that might make you seem as if you have a clue, thus legitimizing yourself as a teacher. If you want real knowledge, go to the same source that Don got it from.

You never cease to amuse me. Party on Garth.

Heres my friendly advice:

Its better to have people think your an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

However I fear my advise comes too late.

Ive never handled them, but Im not a fan of cold Steel katanas in general. I dont know anything about the materials used for the tsuke or the furniture.

IMO, for price, you can't go wrong with Kensei or Cheness.

Kensei:

Cheness:

These two are the absolute lowest price I would go, simply because I have handled many of their blades and they do not sacrifice safety over cost.

Safety is paramount.

Hope this helps,

I believe the purple gi originated when Soke's wife suggested that women wear them for training, with a red belt in place of green. Seems to still be a big thing in Europe.

My wife wants a pink skull on her black belt.....fitting I think.

Shihan Severence was one of the TRUE gems of the Bujinkan. You will not find another who can offer what he had to share. Not only did he have the skills, but he had the experience. Anyone who was lucky enough to spend even a little time with him is better off for it. Those who spent many years with him will probably tell you it wasn't enough time to learn all he had to teach.

I will remember him fondly every time I use kakushi. I can see the gleam in his eye now :)

Please don't freak out over this like they did here in the US. Two days after it was announced as the new plaque, they realized it wasn't as bad as they thought. NO one died from it and we have thousands of cases. Only two people who had it dies, and they had other health issues. But the new would say "Woman with H1N1 Dies", nevermind that h1n1 didnt kill her

If a child was even suspected of having it, their school was shut down and thoroughly disinfected.......two days later they said if your child was sick just keep them home for a week.

To give an example of how ignorant our educational system is, they wouldnt allow children to visit hog farms for field trips.....thats right, our educators over reacted so bad that they completely ignored the fact that you cant get H1N1 from pigs.....

So, wash your hands, don't make out with sick people and relax.

Does anyone know a good source for a good equipment for weapons? Bukico used to make one that was awesome, it held naginata, yari, bo, bokken, mogito as well as small training items and your uniform......they dont make it anymore....

Lol, where to start. Um, Kung Fu, Straight Blade, "Sai". Total lack of skill with the "Ninjato". Completely erroneous history.

Im actually talking to one of the hosts about it right now...
