Soke has stated in some of his books that some Soke were omitted becuase they were not sufficient to be Soke, or that a proper successor did not emerge. ( In Soke's book-Ninpo, wisdom for life, for example). Also, looking at the lineage of Gyokko ryu, it seemed that some Soke were not noted. The way it "seemed" was becuase they weren't worth mentioning, not because they were killed in battle or something like that. I'm wondering if this is the case, or.....? I'm just asking others for their thoughts, opinions and/or Knowledge on this. Thanks!

In the past, some Soke were omitted from the lineage, like in Gyokko ryu, for example. Does anyone know of the reason for these omitted Soke? Did they do something wrong? And- How was the lineage continued if some Soke were not able to transmit it? Thanks!

Greetings- Could/would anyone help with this translation:- "Chihayaburu Kamino oshiewa tokoshieri tadashiki mio mamoruran".- Apparently Soke wants us to say this along with Shikin Haramitsu Daikomyo. I tried to find a translation from a number of sources, all with no luck. It may be difficult as Soke sometimes is difficult to translate and sometimes speaks in cryptive terms. Any help would be much appreciated. Arigato Gozaimas.

While on the subjest of books, "The Sivananda companion to Yoga" is one of the finest book i've ever read on health, breathing, diet, stretching, etc. It includes stretches i've never even thought to think about, like how to stretch and strengthen eye muscles, and so on. Very all inclusive.

Greetings Buyu-
This may be a little off topic, but I was in the Foreign Legion in France earlier this year, and when people found out I was from the USA, almost every one of them asked "Who are you going for, Clinton or Obama?" Since I was leaning toward Obama, I told them, and they all smiled and gave me a thumbs up, saying "Yeah!". In fact, Obama was one of my nicknames after that. Obama certainly seemed to be the international favorite... It was interesting becuase I was able to talk to all kinds of people from all walks of life and many different countries, and every single one of them favored Obama. (I got the impression that they all felt that America was a very Racist country). Anyways, I just had to share that with everyone.
