Try this link
http://www.budomart.com/acatalog/Onli ... _BUJINKAN_WEAPONS_34.html
That should take you to Budomart (based in France) who have a lot of Soke Hatsumi's DVD including the Hanbo one.

Hi Robert,

Would that be in the US, UK or internationally? I was more interested in peoples thoughts on why the Bujinkan isn't in established MA publications rather than a specialist trade magazine, as I think putting articles in mainstream MA publications would reach a wider audience and get a higher profile for the Bujinkan.

Papa San, I just meant any main stream martial arts mags, not sure what you mean by 'serious'. The two I know of in the UK I cited (Combat and MAI), I'm not sure whats available in the US. I may be off base and there are articles published regularly (maybe in Black Belt magazine?) but I'm not aware of them.

Aren't published articles a great way to get people ineterested in the Bujinkan in national and international magazines? Either way my main question was why there is so little about this art in the press.

Hope that clarifies if I was a bit vague

One of my pet hang ups is the apparent lack of articles in mainstream martial arts magazines. Here in the UK there are two main publications that seem the best known - Combat magazine and MAI (Martial Art Illustrated). Combat magazine appears heavily involved with Anthony Cummins who seems on a bit a mission against Soke and the Bujinkan. MAI seem to be Chinese/Karate styles orientated.

Has anyone any idea why there is so little in the mainstream media about the Bujinkan? Especially as it is such a huge international organisation. Is it because it's all been done before, or no one is too interested in doing such a thing. I saw the great material being produced when the on-line Bujin-kan e-magzine was running, so there is potential material etc out there.

I know there are far more experienced and knowledgable people out there than I so I hope someone can shed some light on this frustrating subject for me.

Hi Eva

There is in Plymouth a dojo run by Shidoshi Pete Mo, who is under Shihan Marc Moor of Budo Warrior Schools. Both go at least once a year to Japan, and Pete is good and very approachable.

His e-mail is petemo15@hotmail.com just get your friend to drop him an e-mail.

"Check out Shinobi no Mono. You should recognise some of the taijutsu."

Hardly suprising as Soke Hatsumi was involved in the filming of Shinobi no Mono, and advised on the fighting sequences!

I posted on this thread in good faith, not to shout 'look at me' but to just answer (what I thought was the question) how my training is involved in my everyday life. As it was said you dont need budo for many public service jobs such as mine, but to paraphrase, it sure does help!

I would like to think this was more intended to be a thread for personal reflections on how much your training interacts with your life, work, etc.

I had hoped, naively it seems, that this thread like so many others wouldn't be side tracked or underminned.

I am reminded why I dont post here so often...
