While I see no reason to question the correlation of traits, I'd be cautious about "assigning meaning" to them.

“Then there are sheepdogs,” he went on, “and I’m a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and confront the wolf.” Or, as a sign in one California law enforcement agency put it, “We intimidate those who intimidate others.”

If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen: a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath--a wolf. But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? Then you are a sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero’s path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed.

. . .The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, cannot and will not ever harm the sheep. . .

elf tengu did you attemp to get all ninja on his ass... instead of, oh say, just MACING him... can you say metsubishi... every tool has a purpose perhaps you just chose the wrong one. again legality being an issue for civil servants, but ive been attacked twice since joining the bujinkan, with one situation i found simple thumb drives to the eyes( while nails cut the whole length up) stopped that situation, the other was a ambush from behind turned knife attack. i escaped from that without being cut, stabbed, hit or anything else save for being out of breath cuz my legs carried me like the wind... just saying...
