When the legs slap together it wasn't exactly the knees that bother me...

My original post was more geared towards the break fall. I'm comfortable w/ the rolling part. I appreciate all the advice though. I was asking more along the line of when the ukemi has been destroyed what the best course of action is? Like in the original post when you find yourself being thrown, in mid air, and realize that there isn't really a way to just roll out of this one lol. Thanks to all.

It was a fun show to watch. It was typical TV. I've read alot of the posts here and w/ what 1000 years of combat proven skills? So how can what a tv show, other martial artists, or anyone says for that matter, disturb the minds of buyu? I've heard that you can't really capture the feeling of Soke's training on videos or pictures. I was told that unless you are actually there it's nearly impossible. Was that a tv show? Were you there? Just a thought.

Just got home from another wonderful evening of training and let me say, the mat tastes great everyone! lol. Ok, here's the question. Tense the muscles or relax the muscles when there is no ukemi? I try to relax but find that as I am floating through the air upside down and sideways I tend to tense up a bit. Any insight that would make this a bit more of a comfortable experience would be greatly appreciated. Don't get me wrong I enjoy being sore to a point but it tends to stretch the work day out a bit if you know what I mean.

Thanks all

Dustin

For those that don't know. Doug Wilson has posted his "After math of human weapon" on his blog Henka.
