The matchstick factory story is taken word for word, including the misplaced use of "O'Sensei," from Richard van Donk's website.

These were Hon Tai Takagi Yoshin Ryu (from which Takamatsu was already studying with Mizuta), Gikan Ryu Koppojutsu, and Shinden Muso Ryu.

I've heard before about this Shinden Muso Rtyu and I think from recollection that it is what we now call Shinden Fudo Ryu Jutaijutsu. As for myself I don't know if its true or not. Any One.

Or perhaps we should simply call it Shinden Muso Ryu?Sometimes you can take things at face value-not EVERYTHING is a conspiracy.Yes,there are OTHER old schools in existance these men probably did train in during this time.Notice the word probably.
Oh well,back to the batcave,

In my opinion, I don't think only two schools remain in those days, so that I do not feel it is an amazing coincidence.

I won't put any information about this article on the internet anymore.

That is not quite what I mean. I realize that more ninja oriented ryu existed in that time period. However, it still is rather unique to have one person inherit the last of those ninja oriented ryu. With all of these other ninjutsu/ninpo ryu out there, one would think more should still be around somewhere. Now, it seems, it all came down to one person.

my quote was taken from rvd. i thought it was interesting. as far as the number of ninja ryu at that time there were many. the names of several ninpo ryu can be found in NINPO SECRETS a book by Shoto Tanemura. i know ex-bujinkan, but you can't deny the knowledge, training, insight into our ninja art. it is a great read with much information.

Hi

Shinden Muso Ryu and Shindenfudo Ryu are two completely different Ryu, I dont see how you can make the connection.

If it is just because it is called Shinden , then there are dozens of Ryu that must be Shindenfudo ryu then.

Its like saying Shinkage are all related when they are not
