We all make a lot of presumptions in what we say and think. Only when we operate from a common understanding of what we mean by our terms do we have a chance to communicate. To me "perfect" technique meant the movement itself and had nothing to do with the other aspects such as surprise and hiding. The attempt to perfect will never succeed as each situation requires something different and we ourselves can never be perfect. Principles are the basis of our movement, but art is the movement itself. It can either be very good art or the kind no one would buy.

Since we began life as infants, and made various judgements concerning the things that can be perceived by the senses before we had the full use of our reason, there are many preconceived opinions that keep us from knowledge of the truth.

priciples of taijutsu is the theme of comments here, I interested in the principles of ninjutsu, ie, those that relate to heaven, or the universe.

I am finding a few instances of japanese subjectivity.
Things that are not, as far as I can see, universal truths.
Does anybody have any experience separating these from the truly useful, it can be a complicated topic, without having to censor.
Cheers

Principles that I have heard Soke say a out heaven and the universe include that he is a UFO, and my favorite is when he says a fight is not a fight unless it is a fight.

Philosophically our approach to the universe should be the same.
