!! NO NEED TO BE WARY!!
To all my clients and fellow buyu. My name is ULYSSES BEATO of Musha Mono. I am hear to assure you all that there is no reason to be wary of me or my operation and I am hear to speak sincerely to all of you about my endeavor with my Web store. I have just been alerted to this thread and I assure you I'm not a swindler as Ben has said in my defense. I will respond to each of your claims. Give me a few hours to do so please. In the meantime I may be reached on my cell phone (917)749-0153. If any of you wish to speak to me right away. I have served many happy customers with my excellent merchandise. Unfortunately, human nature being what it is, people are more likely to go out of their way to post their complaints than to praise a positive transaction (probably because they are too excited to put down their new toys to get online!). I will be posting a response to your valid concerns before the end of the day. In the meantime I assure you I am a current member of the Bujinkan and practice with and have many freinds in the Bujinkan. I have had the honer and pleasure of meeting and photgraphing soke many times. I, like all of you, am one of his son's and therefor one of the brothers. I would never intentionally tarnish these relations. I'm sorry for any worries. YOU WILL ALL GET YOUR MERCHANDISE!!!!! Please be patient as I sift through this and set things straight. Ulysses Beato (917)749-0153

Good evening all,
As I said in my earlier posts, I want to elaborate a little on my response to this issue of Musha Mono's credibility. Without going into boring detail with you I want to explain where I'm at with my Web store. As I mentioned before, I started Musha Mono a couple years back to fulfill the need for high quality equipment for practitioners of the Takamatsuden (or ninpo as we know it currently) arts. After a lifetime of being involved in martial arts, I was very familiar with the "ninja CLAWS"! (argh!), grappling hooks, caltrops (ouch #@%!), smoke bombs and iron war fans in red complete with the gold "nin" symbol and secret decoder rings all available at your local kung-fu supply house and excellent for trick-or-treating on halloween. Not suitable however if one is interested in an academic or scholarly approach to the ancient and historically factual art of Ninpo Taijutsu as taught by Toshitsugu Takamatsu sensei. And so it happened that I put Musha Mono together over the course of several years. It is a labor of love designed for all students of ninpo and koryu arts in general. I'm sure many of you who live in Kentucky, Ohio, Florida, South Africa or any other place far away from Japan's resources are glad you ran across my store as you chuck your authentic shuriken at a target or show your dojomates any of the hard (make that almost impossible) to find toys you've purchased from me in the past. I've meant Musha Mono to be your one stop shop for our tools of trade. An entity with access to every thing under the sun a koryu specialist student might desire. All excluding the Macho brand kick boxing gloves and head gear and rubber "punch me-man-on-a-pedestal garbage you see at your local kung-fu supply house. However, the reality of such and endeavor has set in. Many of my numerous distributors and manufacturers get or make very limited amounts of the merchandise during the course of a whole year. Believe me, I'm forever at my wits end with this fact. I've had to pull rabbits out of a few hats during this time in order to meet orders. This is all easier said than done hence the reason no one else has been able to pull it off. Sure there have been a few broken eggs along the way. But all of you should know, i've been doing this all by myself for the most part. In the past six months life's odessey has thrown some daunting personal problems my way (both technical and otherwise) that have prevented my from keeping up with my other obligations. However, Like the Energizer bunny, I'm still going. Those of you with outstanding orders that have questions can call me on the cell phone which is always better than e-mail as you get an actual person: Me. I will do my best to fill your orders. I will contact you all individually as soon as possible with updates. Please be patient. Please speak to me before you run to PayPal and make matters worse. I will not run away with your money!! In closing I ask all of you for your support with my endeavor. We all need a source for good gear. Help me make Musha Mono bigger, better and more efficient in the future. In the near future I am looking to better my operations and bring others on board to do so. But be aware, the wheels of the authentic ninja tool supply industry move somewhat slowly. Hoping to put your worries to rest I remain yours truly,

I have ordered a few things off Musha Mono. Both orders arrived intact. There was a backorder on a few things and Ulysses shipped a partial order and covered the shipping on the 2nd part. I would not order a boken if you need it that week, but the wooden weapons are solid as are the kusari.

I'll put in my 2 yens worth. (slightly off topic) Finding some one to forge good quality stuff is hard enough. Once you found them if they are forging by hand they are not going to produce a huge volume. I am a Blacksmith myself and most of my customers (Bujinkan and otherwise) Have NO idea what so ever of the skill and time involved in making some of this stuff by hand. They all want it yesterday and think you have some sort of Acme shukomatic or shurikenmatic machines you just turn on and come back in an hour and it is prepackaged ready for shipping. So I can certainly see the point of view of supplying this stuff to lots of people when they want it, as being a problem from time to time. Not to mention all the tools that a Blacksmith has to make to make what you order.End of rant
