i read a passage in one of Hatsumi sensei's books titled "the way of the ninja" and he goes on to mention that the Gikan Ryu, Gyokko Ryu and Koto Ryu are indeed ninjutsu schools. This is mentioned under the part titled "Ninjutsu Diversity" if anyone does indeed have this book check that part out as it does clearly state that those 3 ryu-ha are ninjutsu schools.
