As it's been said before, in Sanshin no kata (or SHOSHIN GOKEI GOGYÔ NO KATA) there might be more levels than just the the beginning (Shoshin). Maybe there are elemental things there, but when are they needed to be studied? To me the forms teach the earlier mentioned body dynamic issues, all using more than less the same methods.

Naturally, any and each of these forms can be done aggressively, defensively, "don't give a s*it", avoidingly etc. But, the way I see it, changing your set of mind will most likely require changes in the physical ways too, yes? And doing this too soon might break something before it is formulated wholly....

I agree that the sanshin are a great way to learn good body dynamics. In the same way that Mudra and Kuji are good for building finger dexterity.
