Where to buy tachi?

Do any of you know any Internet shops selling authentically reproduced tachi like the one shown in Hatsumi's "Ken, tachi, katana" DVD?
I have Googled a lot and found some shops, but only bugei.com seems to offer the real deal (and at a high price).
There must be some obscure Japanese webshop selling tachi I haven't found.
I can also add that I do not want a live blade.
Any help will be appreciated!

If you dont find such a tachi on a shop, I think you can talk with the swords producers for a custom sword where you can direct your requirements to those regarding a tachi (those dealers where you can customize your sword in terms of length, curvature, fittings, etc). It will probably take a while and cost a bit, but at least you will have it made for you and made exactly as you want it.

Hope this helps.

I've been to that webpage before but they don't have the right kind of swords.
But thanks anyway!

Gaijin,

SwordStore (http://www.swordstore.com) may be a good choice, because they do make custom iaitos/katana, and they may be ale to suit what you need (I know I wanted a wakizashi and Rick assured me they are able to do it if they have the proper requirements from me). I ordered an iaito from them and I am very satisfyed with it, if they say they will get the tachi for you, you can take is as granted.

You can also try with J-Armory (http://www.j-armory.com/), I am not sure if they can custom the blades, too (they sure do with the fittings).

Also, try Jidai (http://www.jidai.jp) for custom Iaitos, they do replicas of various swords and I assume they can do this custom requirement, too.

By the way, if you have answers from any of the producers you may contact, and you can share us those information in terms of price, availability, contacts, I am sure a lot of the bujinkan practitioners will find it helpful for similar requests.

Thank you, and good luck.

Thanks for the urls.
I'll definitely let you know when I've contacted the different shops.
