Kind of like America - Land of the constitution, England - Land of Hope and Glory etc

It all comes down to the state of society in general, the pressures of modern living, the ease of doing things the selfish way, the exploitation of the needy and the lack of decent contact between human beings throughout the world.

Japan has its flaws in society just like any other country, maybe the cramped population adds an extra pressure?

All what comes down to the state of the society?

You cannot blame/justify individuals actions based on the "state" of society. If you do then everything is possible and nothing is wrong...

Oh dear, what started of as an attempt to cheer up KouRyu has broached a large philosophical debate on causality.

All I can add is that society is comprised of people, which are all individuals. So if one blamed society (which I didnt quite do) then one would be blaming the individuals that make up society. In fact blame/justify itself implies that there has been some wrong doing. So I dont know why you interpreted it like that anyway.

I am so misunderstood at times

But dont worry I wont commit a crime now and blame you for it?!
