Henry,

You could contact the website directly that is listed as the host or (from the first post)for "more info http://www.yume-dojo.org"

I can attest, after attending the seminar hosted last summer by the Yume dojo, that Shihan Zoughari shares a wealth of information and can be side splitting funny in one example and deadly serious in another. Simply put, between the quality of instruction and the professionalism of the hosts of the event, I will be there this year, along with several members of our dojo.

And no, I am not affiliated with their group, nor did I recieve any compensation for this review! LOL

Henry,

i had the good fortune of attending Mr. Zoughari's seminar in Burnaby, British Columbia. and like many others, i can attest to his incredible skill, knowledge, humour, patience and kindness. i can safely say that it was one of the best taijutsu seminars that i've ever attended. and although Kacem's movement was by turns beautiful and frightening, and he made me feel like a white belt the entire time, it was a hell of a lot of fun all the same.

my point to you is: it never occured to me to wonder what his "rank" is. not once.

what possible difference could it make?

Hey Mark,

Mainly out of curiousity is why I ask. I have heard that he is only a Sandan, hence my question.

I always thought you had to be at least a Shidoshi to do seminars, I wasn't aware people bring in first through fourth Dans to teach.

At our Dojo we usually try to bring in Shihan (10th dan ) or higher to learn from...

Rank has somewhat meaning to me when it comes down to seminars and classes. It's just my opinion...

Anyone in the Bujinkan is free to host a seminar by whomever they chose. The instructor doesn't have to be a certain dan grade - that idea is ridiculous.

That being said, this forum is to post information about seminars, not to debate or speculate on the ranks of the instructors. If you have questions about that, simply PM the person who posted the initial seminar information.

Thread locked.
