I would like to hear everyones opinion on the different footwork of each ryu, and how it collectively has impacted their Taijutsu.

You mean how the different footworks in the schools have impacted ones training?

I feel that using the footwork of the school from which the form is from help one understand it, helps one do it.

But, that's naturally only a place to begin from. As we are studying Bujinkan Dôjô Budô Taijutsu, not any one singular Ryû.

Yes, that is what I am asking. I understand we are not studying the ryu's individualy, I'm just curious as to what everyone thinks of each ryu's footwork, like what the characteristics of each are. I think we could begin by defineing the characteristics of the gyokko ryu first.
