Very interesting, but I wish I understood even a 1/10 of what he has shown throught the last few cycles.

But even more interesting - Soke has a son!???! Is this not news to anyone else?

Chris

It was news to me. Kind of puts the whole 'Who will be next Soke' debate in a different light, eh? Perhaps we will see both Soke and Shihanke...

Barking up the wrong tree gentlemen. Soke does not have a son. The gentleman in question is an actor who played soke's son on Jiraya many years back.

Aww, you let the cat out of the bag. I was hoping this 'new revelation' would last a little longer? ;)

Nice one Syd, it really is something how people will immediately jump on such things. Maybe that is just human nature to try and find fault even though it isn't there.

Sorry for spoiling the surprise Syd, just getting a wee bit tired of the righteous e- mails about Soke's "son" being born out of wedlock! (I kid you not!)...more importantly, why would I be getting these mail!!! Some real strange people out there!
Pol.

The emails were obviously coming from people who weren't at the Daikomyosai party. It was totally clear in the context of what was going on but, like so much in this art, it was one of those "you had to be there" things.

BTW, it was great having a chance to train with you again, not to mention hearing you on the uillean pipes once more. I expect to be back over again in April -- I'll let you know the dates when I get that set.
