One last Memory of the taikai that made summer so much fun!

Go to the taikai web site and at the bottom of Page 3 of the pictures, is a link to the "trailer" video of the website.

http://www.midwestbujinkantaikai.org/photos3.html

It is purely for entertainment and I think it does it's job. It gives a little taste of what we did, but in no means shows the full spriit and emotion that was there that weekend. A review was sent to Bujinkan magazine which gives a little history and taste of the Taikai.

All in all, it is still a very warm place in my heart.

Marty

This was a very nice video, it filled me with energy, now I will have a great training today in the Dojo
I saw some friends too (Gabe's hair is much longer I see). You are lucky to have so many Shidoshis in one event.

We taped it to make a DVD to give to everyone who taught. It will not be sold or distributed to youtube. You may just have to come next time!

8-(

I meant buying the dvd for my humble self study... I buy dvds form various Tai Kai and seminars to broaden my horizons. Given my personal limitations (mostly desire to spend some time with my children before they grow up) I cannot travel to all the cool seminars that I would love to. I actually wanted to go to your tai kai but the things did not work out.

The youtube remark was uncalled for 8-( but I will not go there and try to prove that i have no tail ...

oops... my bad: I did not read correctly what Marty wrote. He wrote "It will not be sold or distributed to youtube." And I read something else that I took as a suggestion of leaking onto youtube when dvd is available ... to what I responded; my bad! please disregard my previous rant...

I just asked if the dvd is available form the genuine interest sparked by the clip...

gomennasai!

Well we just got home after this year's Midwest Taikai held in Ypsilanti and Hosted by Michael Asuncion and his Dojo. I would like to thank everyone involved for keeping this important event alive and thriving. It was wonderful! To see Budoka from all over getting together in the true spirit of the Bujinkan is a wonderful thing. I had a blast and it was great to renew friendships started in previous years training.

I am really looking forward to next years event to be held in Chicago!!

Once again we have completed another taikai. The 2011 version in Chicago was wonderful to say the least. The training was great and the friendly spirit of the Bujinkan was permiating everyone there. I met and trained with many new people. There were returning teachers and new teachers that showed a wide variety of interesting things that should stimulate training for a while.

Next year it is in Fort Wayne Indiana and should be Great!
