I apologize to everybody who was adversely affected by me volunteering some information on the subject that I am not supposed to know much about.

I believe that my information was useful and correct (although not exactly called for). I am stupid. I will do this again from time to time in the future; at random intervals; until I fade away (or until i am faded away) this way or another...

peace

i was in no way insinuating the bujinkan being money grubbing. myself, i didnt realize UGP wasnt penned by hatsumi soke , i know it is profiteers charging 300 for this it. is the last book i know of personally. i have 3 hatsumi books history & traditions, secrets of the grandmaster, secret techniques also have some Stephen hayes stuff ( yes i realize he is no longer part of the Bujinkan. i hope i was not the cause of what seemed to be an arguement brewing here and i was just trying to state if you look up UGP on ebay its rediculously expensive. i will follow the link and humbley appologize for any misunderstanding i may have caused

Thank you for the suggestion, I do have the book (have read it twice through).

I was at work and didn't have access to the book at the time.

Please don't bicker so much guys. Seriously, you'll put yourselves in an early grave.

Maybe you know, maybe not... latest book from Soke has all these names etc. (it has the Japanese text towards the end)

To me, that book feels like like getting an (undeserved) gift of multiple densho; the burden of the gift feels a bit heavy, almost like: "here is the information if you can consume it". It is a big obligation to study with even more effort. The depth and breadth and the multitude of layers included in the book is just awe inspiring.

only less than $40..

I agree with you Mario. It is a steal at $40. Of course the copy I have sitting next to my computer right now came from the Library at the college I attend. They have a wonderful system where they can borrow books from other School libraries and this book was in the system. I picked it up two days ago and read the whole thing within hours. Of course now I have to buy my own copy because I believe it will be something I read and study for the rest of my life.
