Can anyone tell me "Murigata" is a word and if it means something?

From what I think I remember its the dummy force that throws a person up/over without hitting them... Chi from Sanshin?

cheers,
goonmaster

Could you be referring to "mogurigata"? (潜り型)

maybe "Margarita"? This one take you off you legs gently up and over without hitting you .

just for laughs because I am ramping up my day here:

AFIK "muri" is A word (http://www.saiga-jp.com/cgi-bin/dic.cgi?m=search&sc=0&f=0&j=muri), commonly used in conversation even. Number of meanings can spin your head around as you can see on that page I linked to
and depending upon kanji used muri has so many meanings that you could create entire martial art around it with its own set of kata, hahaha, let us call it muri-ryu or muri-kan (maybe we could add "o-" or "shin-" or "dai-" in front of the name)

sorry for the joke, but Shawn already answered the question, so I felt like going into a useless henka

peace

無理型 「むりがた」is an unreasonably difficult kata.
