Would you openly admit to getting your information from the internet? Don't you have a teacher that can give you that information?

p.s. there was a thread on another forum about how gekiryu dojo was selling other people's notes claiming them as 'the secrets of the bujinkan'. Things were said, names were called, lawsuits were threatened.

While the video does point out some good points, it would be a major mistake to think that is all there is. Also just knowing the place is not knowing how to utilize it. That is an entirely different thing. That cones from training and experience. Do be careful of just accepting what you see on any "commercial" site, the whole purpose is to have you spend your money not necessarily to teach you anything. Just a thought to consider.

learning strikes comes from ones sensei, and i have kyusoh charts at home. at the time ive recently moved to utah and find alot of misinformation here, its laughable, so now i am trying to find another sensei worth training under. but learning new kyusho ( especially a 3D model) lets me build on the info i have recieved in Vegas from My sensei.

Benkyoka, i still respect my sensei in vegas as my ORIGINAL sensei and always will, but now that i cant learn from him on a regular basis im making do. as for openly getting info from the internet... well i do get SOME (NOT ALL) from it, hmmm thought thats what it was there for...

and i dont know a thing about the gekiryu dojo but im not being charged to view youtube so i will continue to do so from time to time.

Information, regardless of source, always requires verification. Disdaining a source like the internet is akin to admitting an inability to discern.

IMHO, Once you have it done to you (and survive ) you remember where a given kyusho is. Having it done to you repeatedly ("repetitio est mater studiorum"), you can learn a bit more when it works and when it does not. Yes: in many cases you can make it not work... how it is coupled with the art of using your entire body (aka taijutsu...).

The maps are interesting as a source of inspiration. For example see beautiful artistic renderings of those maps in latest Sensei's book!. Just a breathtaking piece of art!

Moreover, the maps tend to be also for sale (even if the price is "free") or used as marketing tool.

I bought a book(let) about "dim mak" once, all looked very well done, lots of information etc. Now, about 10 years later, i see how many things in that book are not exactly what it is. I would not re-sell that book(let) to a friend.

peace
