Thanks for the reply... eagerly waiting for it.

(Odd I was replying to my thread. The reply ended up here?)

Is any opinion about the new book? I have not heard anything about it.

I received my copy. It has very interesting subjects - written only as Soke can do, it is a puzzle and requires concentrated study. I thought it would be hilarious to attempt to do a "Books on Tape" version!

I received my copy yesterday and had a look at it today. Already I have noticed that there are some things in the japanese text that aren't in the English. This could have been added to the Japanese portion of the book after the translation was done or a mistake in editing etc. But it will be interesting to compare the two languages.

Echo what Marty said. I read it and decided to focus on the pictures like the introduction suggested.

Great pictures, some yari kata descriptions. Impossibly cryptic writing full of word play. Definitely not something to be read straight through. Lots of lessons that need serious contemplation to absorb, unless it is just me and I am to dense to understand it ;)

Same thing in the last book [Unarmed Fighting Techniques...]. I was curious about some kanji and noticed what amounts to an entire chapter not translated.
