I am looking for either a Japanese store online or
a store near Chiba-shi (I'll go to Tokyo if needed)
that sells katana around the price range of 50,000 yen
to 80,000 yen. In other words, I don't want a piece of junk
but I'm not looking for an antique either. What stores can you
recommend? I speak, read, and write Japanese so Japanese
sites are fine. Thank you in advance.

Here is a few web-sites you can look at; www.jidai.jp, www.Bugei.com, and www.Mantisswords.com.

Looking to train on cutting over the winter, I'm interested in wakizashi length for close quarters. Can anyone recommend anything in the USA? Not Cold Steel. Seems like everyone has a Paul Chen. Budget is $1000, below $500 is preferable. I plan to use the hell out of it so I'm paying for durability, not a wall-mounter or show piece, it will have a nice home in the gun safe.
