I have heard from friends in Japan that Oguri Sensei has passed away.

While I cannot call myself a student of Oguri Sensei, I had great respect for his movement and will miss his presence at Hombu!

I too will miss his presence in the Bujinkan. Soke must be sad indeed to loose one of his very oldest students. Oguri sensei took many secrets and knowledge with him, I'm sure. As far as I know this is the first shihan to pass away. I hope he has found serenity and peace where he is now.

Such sad news. I am lucky to have had the pleasure of meeting and training with him a few times over the years and will never forget his kind smile and endless patience. Deepest condolences to his daughter, family and close friends.

My deepest sympathies to his family, I always enjoyed his classes. He was so dedicated to having people learn. He was a gentle soul, rest in peace.
