Hello villagers,

Could anyone help me find a good place to purchase an o-tsuchi (Japanese war-hammer) similar to the one at the hombu dojo? I've found at least two sites that would seem to make them for sale, neither of which are still in operation.

I am also in the market for other training weapons, like training shuko with plastic or rubber parts instead of metal. Any recommendations?

Did you see this?
http://paart-budo-buki.blogspot.com/

I never bought from him but heard some good things, also he has a lot of imagination that you can see from his works.

Thank you for your reply. I have seen his website and he makes fantastic gear but it appears as though he no longer makes items for sale. Some of my buyu and I tried to get one from that site several years ago without result.

If he still makes items for sale, I would gladly order from him.

Hi there,

im Training in Mainz, Germany and we ordered some Stuff from PAART. We made two seperat Orders. One Order (the smaller One ... a wooden Pistol and somehting else) arrived. The other Order for about 300€ wich I paid in advance never arrived. This guy made lots of excuses and tried to talk his way out of it. I never got any equipment or money from this guy. I am still angry when i remember this. I would not advice anyone to order there ... And I feel ashamed that someone like this is part of the Bujinkan community.

Greetings,
Björn Wolf

Carmelo at Bujinkanweapons.com sometimes makes custom orders for people. I'd imagine he would find an O-tsuchi a fun challenge. You would likely have to provide him with the specs.

Not to volunteer him but I'm sure "Papasan" could fabricate one one if he wanted to.

I've never made the 'war hammer" but if you give me the specs I could do it. Shipping woud be very expensive due to the size and weight ---- maybe the handle and end would need to be shipped separately too. I did make a nyobo for one gent and would never do that again for the same price, LOL, that was a LOT of work. BTW my desk top computer has been a problem recently and I can't always check Kutaki so if anyone wishes to contact me do please send me an email -- flyboy@ptd.net --- or contact me on facebook. I do plan to be at the German Buyu-Kai in Katlenburg again this year and that is always a fine time.
