Hi everyone,

Akimashita omedeto gozaimasu!!

A few years ago I happened to be at the Japanese book store in NYC called Kinokuniya and a ran across a book by Hatsumi sensei that I'd never seen before or since. It was a book on ninjutsu geared towards children with a more whimsical depiction of ninjutsu than I was accustomed to. In it I remember seeing an illustration where ninja where hiding in a fake cow a la Trojen horse! The drawing showed the cow and it had a cut out showing the inside of the decoy. I didnt buy it at the time but now that my 5 year old daughter wants to be a "ninja when she grows up" I would love to get my hands on a copy.

Does anyone here recall seeing this book or know its name? Any information would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Are you thinking about the book titled "togakure no ninja"? Its not written by Hatsumi sensei but I think he contributed greatly to it.

Skuggvarg,

Thanks for replying. I'm not sure if thats it but it might be. I would know if I saw the cover. Any idea where I might find it?

Cheers!

I think you are referring to Kimi no mo ninja nareru (you too can be a ninja). It's about 30 years old now, I think, and if you are able to locate a copy it will likely be on amazon marketplace for a considerable sum.

Thanks Benkyoka, i do remember the book was in English. It sounds like (from this title) the book your suggesting might be in Japanese. I might be wrong as I don't know the book.

It deffinately had this drawing of ninja hiding inside a fake cow and thats how it stood out in my head.

Does anyone know of a copy of this book or an ISBN number? I would so appreciate it !
