Did not see any rules in this section and this song is not budo-related. However, everyone here seems creative and I'm hoping someone can toss me some good titles to name this before I record it.

verse 1

If I lay in bed in here any longer. Then, my tears for you will only
fall stronger. Because I give my life, my breathe, my all, I give
my world, I'm always at your call.

I spend my hours thinking of you. My days go by as I'm so
happy for you. Because your smile, your laugh, your cry,
they make me happy and it makes me fly.
chorus
And desperately, I'm constantly fallin'. Through loves maze,
I'm gradually callin'. And through these tears which I leave
behind, the joy I have when you warm me inside. I know
how much, I care for you and I wonder if, if you feel it too.
I love you now, and more than before. Pretty angel would
you be my girl?

I need you now and I want you here, I pray to God that
you'll always stay near. I fall to my knees and I cry
for you, I do anything that you ask me to. If Heaven
is a place outta this world, then it doesn't know a thing about
you girl. You are my treasure, a jewel uncompared, I wanna
keep you girl and take you everywhere.
verse 2
nother year rolls by and we're still together. But I still dream
away picturing forever. The feelings haven't changed, they remain
the same, you're beauty girl, can cure my pain. Your beautiful hair
and your devestating smile, you're red fingernails and eyelash profile.
They make me shiver, a chill up my spine, I tell my friends that you're
mine.

How can I explain just how I feel? Pretty girl I promise these things are
real. What can I do to show my love for you? Maybe you'll know when
...when I finally get to courage to speak with you.
(chorus 1x)

Alone in a chair
He pauses, and turns to stare
At empty space, seething.

I think haikus are 5 - 7 - 5, but I can't really remember. Here are 3 attempts. I would put them all together, and give them one title - "Perserverance":

Silence in the dawn
Sun crawling over the clouds
The training resumes

Cold eyes in darkness
A blade of grass shivers
The mind is constant

Push yourself today
For time is an illusion
It ends without fail

My apologies for the obtuse post Mr. Cody.

In the thread previously attached the guys are discussing instances where those in whom you invest emotion/care//money may betray that trust and hurt you in some way (nobody is perfect?).

IMO the development of emotional intelligence will assist in persevering in spite of and/or avoiding such obstacles.

I thought that your lyrics (which compliment a blues/roots number?) do have relevance to budo as they touch beautifully on one of the most basic and profound of human conditions - the need to love and be loved.

For me anyway, budo is all about love. I practice (albeit poorly) because I love my family. I practice (where I haven't been banned) because I want to improve myself. I practice because I want to be able to continue to function and survive when confronted by the betrayal of a loved one or stranger, the damage to a loved one or stranger, or where offered tokens of affection by pretenders to your heart. And all the while remaining courageous enough to still love a stranger.

[Disclaimer: this is all my own opinion and not related to any (known, which is not much) Bujinkan cirriculum.]

Miuki:
In my opinion, that is an excellent reason to practice the budo arts, and also a noble way to live one's life. People often say that budo is about war, but I disagree -- I think it is about preservation of life, whether it is your own or that of others. And that is the most sincere application of love, as far as I am concerned.

As for your thoughts not being in line with the Bujinkan, I humbly disagree - I feel it fits quite well. Take a look at Shihan Jack Hoban's work, most especially his "Warrior Creed", and I think you will find some common ground. I have included a link to it below:

With the last line revealing the dramatic love to be purely one-sided and imaginary, you might call it "Just a Dream" or "A Dream for Now...".

You could take the "Dream for Now..." idea and maybe work it into the chorus, with each verse describing how it's going to be (as you've already mostly done), even though it's "just a dream for now".

Maybe the chorus could go something like this:

so desperately i'm fallin'
in love's sweet maze i'm lost and crawlin'
and then i see your smile
and suddenly i'm flyin' high--
and while i cry these tears for you
i know that someday you're gonna love me too
it's gonna happen somehow--
even though it's just a dream for now

Good luck with the song!
