Hi

A couple of years ago, just as I emerged from a 'subway' entrance, a Japanese-looking woman took my photo and ran off into the crowd. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this?

Thanks
Miuki

I had a Japanese girl try to punch me out one time because I wouldn't go home with her for the night.... does that count?

hehehe! maybe it was one of those MIBs. Some people say they look Asian.

Just kidding.

Funny! When I worked downtown I'd take my dog with me. Lots of tourists wanted to take pictures. They'd ask, can we take your picture. I wandered why they'd wanna take a picture of someone so unphotogenic. turns out they thought my dog was beautiful and didn't want my picture at all. Arghhhh!

Well -- maybe?

A few years ago, when I was living in San Diego, I went to the mall downtown to shop for Anime' and while I was there I stopped by the icecream stand to get a milkshake. Coincidentally, I found myself behind a Japanese couple that were in San Diego on their honeymoon. They asked me to take their picture, which I gladly did, and then they asked to take my picture -- which confused me. I mean, I'm not exactly GQ ...

Who knows ... maybe the caption reads "Too many milkshakes" ...

One afternoon, my classmate Ritchie and I were walking down a busy downtown street in Vancouver when we were stopped by this tiny Japanese lady with a bright smile and a mic. She wanted us to try akamiso soup or something, and her camera crew was at the ready to document our reactions.

We managed some rudimentary introductions in Japanese (we were in the same Japanese lanuage class at uni), which were met with an inordinate amount of praise from the big smile lady and a round of applause from the camera crew.

I think it was for Fuji tv - maybe we're the most famous noodle-eatin' Canucks in Japan...
