Questions about naming of grades after Judan:

What is an Bujinkan 11th Dan called in Japanese? Is it Jushodan or Juichidan?

And what about the full name for 11th Dan? Is it called Judan Chigyou Happo Hiken or Judan Chi-i Happo Hiken? What are the Kanji (and the meaning of the Kanji) for this?

I'm assuming the grades after 11th Dan are corresponding, right?

Thanks in advance for every help!

To George: Congratulations!

It's Juuichidan.
'Sho' has a different Kanji '初', and it means 'first time' or something like it. It's used only for Shodan.

All I know is
1) Not Chigyou but Chi-i (地位)
2) '位' means a position
3) Not Hiken but Biken
4) So, the Kanji is probably '十段地位八方秘剣'
5) But we usually use 'Juuichidan' only.

Hi!

Congratulations George!

I was wondering, what kanji does he use for "juu ichi"?

And all this Chigyou, Suigyou... I can't see that on my diploma. Where does that come from, and why do some people use it?

It's '十一', but we use '拾' for '十' and '壱' for '一' to avoid forgery. ('弐' for '二', '参' for '三'.)

Hmm.. Can I find the kanji for all grades (both kyu and dan) somewhere? It would be fun to sort my diplomas so I know what diploma that belongs to what grade.. =)

Maby Mr. Ohashi could write them down if it isnt too much to ask for? =)

Thank you in advance.

Great! Thank you very much!

Although, the written kanji looks a lot different to the computer kanji.. But I could sort them out.. =)

Hmm.. can I find the kanji for the dates somewhere? That would also be fun to find out.. It should just be numbers between 1 - 31 i assume?

Some dates are '吉日' (lucky day).
