Hey all,
Don't know if i'm in the correct category here but was wondering if anyone had any good reccomendations for martial arts mats? I know that i'm gonna get one or two hardcore guys sayin go out and break some glass on concrete and roll on that, but i'd rather have the mats, lol. Always gotta put out that i'm looking for a training partner in Whidbey Island, Washington as well. Thanks in advance!

www.zebramats.com are the best, they have quite a variety.

On a budget you can find cheap puzzle mats at sams club.

Yep, I've used the same set of Zebra Mats for some years and they're great...suggest you stop at a Home Depot or Lowes to get a painter's drop cloth to spread on concrete before you lay them down. So long as you give a sweep on the dust and keep them dry (sweat excepted), you cant kill'em

Not cheap however, especially for the shipping.

You can always ask if they have any seminar mats, they are slightly used and discounted.

or look on craigslist.com if somebody sells some used ones. I was lucky and picked up 9 used zebra mats for $60 each for my home dojo. Go figure, a karate school was changing the mats and selling the old ones cheaply. They needed a bit of cleaning but right now they are great.
