Could you please delete my posts?
Our general policy is to retain the integrity of the forum discussions as much as possible. Deleting posts and user accounts "at will" has the effect of causing confusion in the flow of discussion threads because people then lose track of who said what and what is being posted in response to who / what. It's like taking out parts of a story or ripping out pages from a book. If we were to open the floodgates to allow people to "take back what they say", we would literally be inundated with requests from people coming back a year, 2 years, 3 years after they posted, and dealing with this would not only overload the (volunteer) admins, but also create the type of confusion mentioned above. The onus is on the poster to be responsible for what they post, not on the admins to go back and prune user posts later at the requests of users who are no longer satisfied with what they posted.

Many people have posted things they think back on later, just as many people who write books later look back on what they wrote and wish they could revise it. But by then the book is on the market and on people's bookshelves, that's just the nature of how it goes. It is our belief that people should be responsible for what we post and look back on past experiences as stages of evolution, learning, and growth. Please see the TOS (which you signify agreement to when registering for a user account) for the "legalese" on this topic.
New Poster Syndrome
It is not uncommon for someone to register and then immediately go on a posting rampage, posting at least one post in every active thread in the first 20 minutes after they've registered. Many people find this sort of "flood" by a previously unknown person to be annoying.

It is recommended that you do a bit of reconnaissance beforehand to scout the territory and get a feel of the atmosphere at Kutaki. After registering, it may help to introduce yourself in the first post you make, as noone will know who you are before this point. It is advisable to "ease yourself in" to posting, making only a post or two on your first foray into the village. In a short time, people will get to know you and understand where you are coming from, and will therefore be much more likely to accept what you have to say.
Registration Disclaimer
This is a copy of the Registration Disclaimer that user's are shown at the time of registration. It is available here for the convenience of those who have already registered, for the opportunity to go back and review what they agreed to abide by here at Kutaki.
